About UsHistory

The Phoenix Dynamics Group was formed in August 2012 following the acquisition of Lake Interconnection Systems Limited to run alongside the already established Phoenix Dynamics Limited.

Phoenix Dynamics Limited

Founded in 1994 initially manufacturing Automotive aftermarket products the focus of the company moved to more specialised niche areas including Defence. From humble beginnings it has seen significant growth with both new and existing customers as our excellent reputation continues to spread within the market place. Since our inception Phoenix Dynamics has evolved with the technology driven markets we serve and makes us the supply chain partner we are today.

In 2006 Phoenix Dynamics began to export its products to overseas customers and in 2007 was presented with an Export Award backed by the UK Trade and Investment for our success with directly supplying military products to the US Army. A relationship that has developed and continues today.

To support our continued growth, we have undergone a series of moves to better and larger premises. The most recent of which took place in December 2009 when we relocated to our current facility as part of our continuous investment in our service and manufacturing capability.

Phoenix Dynamics Lake Limited

The former Lake Interconnection Systems, founded in 1989, initially manufactured wiring harnesses for the Motorsport market where the company played a key role in the introduction of light weight wire and connectors already used in the Aerospace industry. This shift in technology lead the way to the development of the Motorsport specific light weight components we find today.

By the Mid 1990s the company had started to supply complex wiring harnesses to large OEMs in the Automotive industry. On the back of this success, in 1999 the company designed and built their own premises near Swindon, close to the M4 motorway.

By the turn of the Millennium, Lake Interconnection Systems had begun to diversify into new markets including Military and Aerospace where our expertise allowed us to design a lightweight flexible engine harness system which today finds application in aerospace vehicles.

To support the company’s growth, the Swindon facility was relocated in 2016 to modern premises, effectively doubling both the manufacturing space and office areas.

The tremendous synergies that exist between the two companies will generate new interconnect solutions due to cross pollination of ideas and technology. The combining of the two businesses is a perfect fit as part of Phoenix’s strategic development plan and is the beginning of a group businesses that will have a strong Technology presence in the interconnect and wiring harness sector, allowing expansion of an already diverse list of prestigious customers.
